To get a general idea of the potential costs, Kettle Marine offers Sport Boat storage from $299 and Pontoon Boat Storage from $399. Price is often determined by boat length. Our price is set at a seasonal rate from September through April with no pro-rating. See our current Boat Storage pricing.
How to shrink wrap a boat for winter storage?
Shrink wrapped boats done by a professional are the best way to store your boat for winter. Boat covers help, but if the cover isn’t supported and secured properly, leaks, rips, and complete collapses are common. At Kettle Marine we use moisture absorbing bags and vents to protect against mold and mildew (not by most competitors don't). Wraps guarantee to hold and keep your boat dry from Wisconsin’s harsh winter. It’s waterproof and encapsulates everything, it's cost effective 100% virgin resin shrink wrap with maximum UV inhibitors. You can’t afford NOT to shrink wrap your boat. We wrap past the rub rail using 7 mil plastic (many use 6 mil, not good!) and we do top quality work using masts and strapping to build a good slope. The utmost care is taken while in and around your boat. We take off our shoes and roll out the red carpet!
Does Indoor Boat Storage cost more?
Yes, indoor dry boat storage costs more than outdoor boat storage. But it's still our most popular service. Heating energy costs fluctuate every year. Customers who have invested a large sum of money into their boat aren't interested in taking chances with below zero temperatures.
